My husband Rod & I have been together since the spring of 2003. When I came to the farm Rod had 34 beef cows, and was working in the oilpatch to help finance his farming.
I had never seen a cow up close, and it was calving season. With Rod working away, I had a lot learn & no time to learn it! I somehow managed to muddle my way through that first year and spent the following winter getting a diploma in Animal Sciences. We have since built our herd up to 60 head & I have come to really enjoying working with them.
